Medical history was made in Utah in 1996 when stem cells from Justin Isom's newborn sister's placenta were transplanted into the 4 year-old's body in an effort to save his life from a rare and insidious auto-immune disease. Audiences throughout the inter-mountain west watched the drama unfold as media in Idaho and Utah followed the story for over 2 years.
